EverBank® Direct operates nationally with approximately $2.1 billion in banking accounts, mortgage and home equity loan products. Besides offering basic banking products, EverBank Direct also has a specialty in online currency and precious metals trading. The company also operates EverTrade® Direct Brokerage. EverBank Direct was A Forbes.com "Best of the Web" recipient five times throughout 2000-2005, EverBank Direct has received favorable mentions or reviews in numerous print and online media, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Forbes, BusinessWeek, The Economist, The American Banker, Time Digital, SmartMoney, ComputerShopper, Newsday, and Online Banking Report.

Everbank pledges to keep its rate within the top 4 percent of all nationwide savings rates. If you keep at least $1,500 in your account you get free unlimited check writing and online bill pay. EverBank has a network of 13,000 affiliated ATMs that accept deposits although it can take up to 5 days for the funds to clear. Funds can be withdrawn at 800,000 VisaPlus ATMs and the bank will reimburse you up to $6 in ATM fees per month.

In addition to online banking, Everbank is operates an online brokerage and has a specialty in currency trading.
