I recently closed a CD account with your bank. I was charged $7.00 for cashier check. I asked for a regular check and was told there would also be a similar charge. So I asked for cash and I was told that the bank needed 3 days to have it ready. It this correct or because I am a senior citizen they are trying to take advantage of me?

Is it possible to layer funds from an expiring jumbo CD? I am currently considering dividing the proceeds into 20 Is it possible to put the proceeds from a expiring jumbo cd into 5 equal portions with each having a different renewal date (1year-2year-etc)? I have never tried to layer CDs but I am trying to minimize the effect of these terrible interest rates. Thank you
