The market for auction rate securities is still failing, pushing up the yields on these bonds and preventing some investors from getting their money out. As I mentioned before, if you aren;'t concerned about liquidity this presents an opportunity to enjoy a very high yield.

Depending on the type of ARS owned, it might be relatively easy or extremely difficult to get money out.
