It is an interesting list. I agree with the Google boys as number 1 and Steve Jobs as number 2. Richard Branson should probably be higher.

I certainly would have left out Barry Diller. As the 60 Minutes report two weeks ago showed, he doesn't have a single clue what is happening on the internet. He was born rich, and strategically made himself richer by marrying up and paying himself a fortune. Jeff Bezos' was lucky to stumble across the idea of an online bookseller but he also isn't influential anymore. I would have put Pierre Omidyar well ahead of these guys and he isn't even on the list. He changed the internet and is smart enough to do it again.

I would concur with the comments above, and note that any company which allowed itself to be acquired by AOL (CNN) is a very poor source of identifying industry trends.
