As the S&P and Nasdaq drop, so does gold.

Gold has shed $12 from its opening high of approximately $676, an approximate drop of 1.7%. It is mirroring drops in the Nasdaq and the S&P 500. It looks like Bonds are the only asset class that isn't being impacted today.

If commodities start to fall, as I think that they will in a global market sell-off, then cash will become king very quickly.

I don't see a global market sell-off. Maybe a temporary correction but nothing severe. I just don't see the catalyst.
