Gore, as a follow-up to his global concert series, is now promoting a contest for the best suggestion of an ad that captures the threat of carbon excesses and global warming. The stupid part is that the prize is a car (even a hybrid) --one might say, typical Gore. What is he thinking??

What a flake. He must be making big bucks on the side for this. I find it very hard to believe him, and I try not to let that make me doubt the larger issues.

I don't know, maybe this will work. The cynicism I think it misplaced. I think in general it shows that Gore understand the realities of the world. The masses are swayed by advertising and they aren;t giving up their cars anytime soon, so might as well offer a fuel efficient one.

I agree. Completely ridiculous that the prize is a car, even if it is an efficient one.

Gore is doing a wonderful thing bringing so much attention to the world's environmental problems. He's been talking about global warming for the last twenty years. It's about time someone is listening.
