Retail giant Wal-Mart Stores tops the Fortune 500 list for the second consecutive year with a 2007 profit of $12.73 billion on revenues of $378.8 billion. That's a jump of 7.9% in revenue over 2006.

Interesting post. WalMart plays hardball and wins. Interesting analysis of GM. I've watched over the last 20 years as the American auto companies have committed suicide. Everyone knew that focusing solely on SUVs to the detriment of the smaller car market was going to catch up, and it has. I wish I understood how decisions are/aren't made in Detroit.
