When a founder like Jerry Yang (or Steve Jobs or Michael Dell) returns to a business, they can bring back the creativity that got the company running. In the case of Yahoo! that may require bringing back the search folks. I also think that Yahoo! made a real mistake in not holding the talent that they acquired from Inktomi and Overture. Maybe they can get some of that back too. Yang and Decker certainly face a real challenge.
