Hi There,

Kudos to bestcashcow.com I just moved my MM account from Countrywide earning an APR of 1.9% to Clear Sky Savings earning an APR of 3.75! I've been a customer of Discover since 1989, I have tier 1 credit and I'm paying 19.9% in interest this is higher than the rate of 19% they advertise for bad credit customers on bankrate.com. I called them and they refuse to lower my rate under 16.34 unless I reapply and allow them to obtain a credit report. Unbelievable you would think they would have a 20 yr history on my account indicating my spending and payment history. They agreed to give me 3.9% intro rate for 6 mos. I will cancel and close my card after 07/01/09. Beware of Discover!

Half of the facts are not announced in their advertisement. Their reward programs are so convoluted and require constant attention because you'll never get the promised reward until they make the money out of you, make you run 50 miles, make you solve a puzzle, and make you walk backwards to China. Worst customer service on the phone. Beware of Discover altogether.
