A lot of multinational businesses in Europe are finding it very difficult to compete on the global marketplace with such a strong Euro. Lawmakers are therefore urging Jean-Claude Trichet to rethink inflation targeting and his goal of keeping inflation under 2%. This is an inportant development. Pressure will mount. the Euro will fall and the dollar rise in the months and years to come.
