This is some sort of an academic piece which, like so much of what is produced in academia, tells you nothing. I'd really like to have some more insight into how Blackstone leverages its money to keep buying assets (such as Hilton now), what the covenants that the banks are taking on are, and how the banks offload the risk of these assets. I think that their should be more light shown on the risks that bank of America, Citibank, Chase and Wachovia are being bullied into taking on these deals.
