There comes a tipping point in a society (or societies for that matter) when people spend rediculous amounts on products that aren't even "luxuries." If I were hawking bibles on the street corner, I would say this article was proof positive that the human race had crossed a line -- that too much money was in the hands of enough people to bring back "let them eat cake" as the cry of the very rich.

I spent almost 40% of my life on my mattress. Why not get the best?

I spend a lot of time of my mattress as well, and I don't need a $50,000 one under any circumstances.
