The Most Popular Business Stories for July 2007 According to the Users on BestCashCow.com

The 10 most popular finance and business stories were:

 1. Put-to-Call Ratio at Highest in 12 Years -- Fast Money Folks Not Worried

On July 17, DanS posted an article on the put to call ratio whether it was indicating a downturn in the market.  We all know what happened a week later.

2. Intel Reports Deteriorating Margins While Yahoo! Reports Deteriorating Existence

Neither of these technology bellwethers fared so well.

3.  The US dollar Collapse Has Helped this Market

The dollar drop has made all of us poorer internationally but according to JRogers it has helped the market.

4. Media Completely Ignores Statin - Cancer Connect

Pharmaking brought to our attention a potential link between Statin drugs (Lipitor, and other cholesterol lowering drugs) and cancer.

5. Jim Cramer is Scaring the Livid Daylights Out of Me

MKhan wrote a popular article on none other than Jim Cramer.  Love him, hate him, everyone seems to love talking and reading about him.

6. Michael Moore and Me- A doctor's take on SICKO

A second score in the Top 10 by pharmaking.  He gave us one Dr’s rebuttal of Mr. Moore’s analysis of the country’s healthcare system.

7. Yahoo and Intel Scared the Market, but Google Could Destroy It

Alexwoj made a gutsy call on Google the day before it reported earnings and was rewarded by large readership.  Google’s stock did drop although it didn’t pull the market down; at least not right away.

8. The Beer and Internet Stock Story

Oliver Reedy’s tale of how beer beat Internet stocks as an investment retained its popularity.  A must read for any new investor.

9. A Doctor's Walk Down Wall Street

Pharmaking takes the triple crown with his walk down Wall Street.  He gives us a Dr’s perspective on the drugs and drug companies we should look for.

10. Heads in the Sand -- Inflation sure ain't "moderate"

walt submitted an article that questioned how inflation can be accurately reported after stripping out energy costs, food, and shelter.  What else is there to include?

And that’s it for our first monthly list.  We hope you’ll help create the August list by either voting for submissions you found helpful or by submitting an article or link yourself.
