I am not sure that Zander is the visionary that Motorola needs right now - he seemed to be unable to see beyond the RAZR. A new CEO could be good for the company, but I really am not a big fan of Carl Icahn.

Motorola seems to always have problems. I never liked the Razr and I like Motorola even less. What was that fiasco from a couple of years ago? Iridium, right?

Not sure whether Zander stays or goes, but the stock has given up all of its gains after hours - they warned again.

Zander clearly misunderstood the market for Razrs, just as he had misunderstood the market for servers and killed Sun in his previous job. I do think that the company can make a turnaround, however, even if he stays as CEO.

He's a corporate hack. Do you notice how the same names keep getting recycled. It's like baseball managers.

I agree with the comment above. I lost my entire savings on Sun Microsystems in 2000 because of his poor leadership. I'd stay away from Motorola as long as he is there.
