It is about time that the Courts crack down on a practice that has done nothing other than line the pockets of a few unscrupulous law firms and left both shareholders and the companies high and dry. While some complaints are clearly valid, there needs to be an easier system for removing those that are not and making law firms that bring fraudulent claims pay. When a claim is valid, the money recovered should inure to the shareholders and not the lawyers.

I lost a ton of money during the crash in 2000, filled out all of these forms and ended up receiving checks 3 years later for $5. When I read the fine print with the checks, I learned that the settlements involved massive payments to the law firms. Our country would be much more productive without so many lawyers.
