You might think the prostitution industry is recession proof, but that doesn't seem to be the case for Nevada's legal prostitution industry. The high gas prices may be the number one issue since the legal brothels are only allowed in the sparsely populated counties.

One interesting thing to note from this article is that this industry is tiny. According to the article, in a typical year, legal brothels generate about $50 million in total revenue. Compare that to the casino revenue: $517.5 million just in the month of March.
