CNBC ran a stock picking contest where the winner was supposed to be picked last weekend. The deadline came and went with no winner. Now information has emerged that the channel is investigating allegged improprieties during the competition.

I always thought a stock-picking contest was a recipe for disaster. At least it's getting them some headlines.
