90 year old widow Addie Polk shot herself rather than be evicted from her home. Fannie Mae agreed to tear up her thirty year mortgage, taken out in 2004.

Did Fannie Mae do the right thing? I'm not heartless enough to say no but at the same time I wonder how many Addie Polk's are out there and where the policy stops. At what point do I get Fannie Mae to tear up my mortgage?
