Interesting article that says that consumer borrowing is drying up and Americans are being forced to live within their means and avoid debt. I receive more credit card solicitations today then I ever have, but maybe that's just me.
I do think that there will be belt tightening though as homes can no longer serve as piggybanks.

Reminds me of a Saturday Night Live fake commerical advertising a personal finance book titled "Don't Buy Stuff You Cannot Afford". Steve Martin played the guy in debt who just couldn't grasp that concept.
