Though we are all trying to maximize our self interest, isn't the likes of BA and Countryside that created this sub-prime financial crises that has shaken the foundations of America. I encourage everyone not to support these thugs and put your money elsewhere.

Countrywide was indeed in the center of the subprime crisis and helped pioneer many of the mortgage products that have caused so much trouble.

Bank of America though really didn't play. They've historically been a very conservative lender and for the most part sat out the mortgage boom.

That is until they purchased Countrywide last year.

The rate has dropped to 3.2% APY. Bank of America rarely has high rates on deposit accounts and when they do, they're gone in a flash.
