Bank of America is offering $50 to open a Bank of America checking account and fund it with only $100. That means a $100 investment can earn 50% in just a couple of days.
The offer appears to be good for all checking accounts except for student banking. You also can't already be an existing Bank of America customer.
The account can be opened online or in any Bank of America branch.
Bank of America is not known for having the best savings, checking, or CD rates but it does offer nice incentives and bonuses frlom time to time to open an account.

It is nice to see that BoA is going to be giving money away to savers and the taxpayers who are bailing them out. Until now, you needed to take out a mortgage to get money for nothing out of BoA.

That's funny. Yes, it's nice to see how the banks are spending our money.

Bank of America lies to owners of new accounts. First, B of A asked for only $100 deposit in order to get $50 cash bonus. Then, a few days later well before you'd see any $50 incentive, B of A asked for at least minimum balance of $1500 or else, it will charge new account owners' monthly fee. Even if you now fund your new account with at least $1500 to avoid the monthly charge, you won't receive a dime from the promised incentive. Then, you call and complain. B of A will then send you a letter stating that your new account just wasn't qualified for the $50 bonus that it promised.
Bank of America is a crook! Stay away from having accounts with B of A.

Bank of America misrepresents incentives. I called them twice to verify the instructions for a promotion to entice Countrywide CD holders to open up a checking, a money market and online. I was told that I would get $75 if I did all that within the first 30 days. Guess what? I called today (3x) (since I was misdirected and cut off) and was told I was not eligible since I did not use my debit card. I talked with the supervisor and informed him that I called twice to go over the instructions and was told I did not need to use the debit card, only to go online 2x in 30 days. Needless to say, what a waste of time. I'm pulling out and closing all accounts with BOA. I'm truly disgusted with their customer service.

I agree with Tony.
Bank Of America will fee you into the ground.
You think with the above offer its free money. Wrong, they will have a minimum account balance fee, minimum time before receiving the $50, account fee, check fee, etc. Call a Bank of America rep and receive no help....they will say their hands are tied, now I see why some companies send their customer service overseas.....cheaper at saying "no I can't help you".
Do Not Use Bank Of America Investments or you will lose money.
I will be closing all my account the 1st of the year.
