Nexity Financial Corporation was incorporated in Delaware on March 12, 1999 and is headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. Nexity Financial operates a wholly owned subsidiary bank, Nexity Bank, with its main office in Birmingham, Alabama and correspondent banking offices in Atlanta, Georgia, Columbia, South Carolina, Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

With assets of over $923 million, Nexity serves over 21,000 customers in all 50 states in the United States and 20 different countries.

As of October 19, 2007. Nexity Bank was given a 4 Star Rating by Bauer Financial, an independent bank rating agency.
