Since January, MetaBank has refused to release CDs that were wired-in from, primarily, Credit Unions. They claim the funds were stolen by an employee and it isn't their responsibility, but the bonding company's. My question is, why hasn't the FDIC gotten involved? The bonding company continues to drag their feet.
Meanwhile the institutions are $99,000 short. I didn't think we had to run background checks on the employees of a bank before making a deposit?!?

"Since January, MetaBank has refused to release CDs that were wired-in from, primarily, Credit Unions. Who was managing the bank? When will Meta Bank ever admit responsibility for any of their actions at any level to any customer?
Be warned!!!! Do not do business with these people. They just push the blame off on someone else for internal problems they create themselves. Nothing gets resolved and they continue to take advantage of the public. If you have personally found the customer service at Meta Bank to be "less than satisfactory" contact the Attorney General's Office in your state. Contact the Better Business Bureau in Des Moines, Iowa. Contact the Consumer Affairs Division at the US Department of the Treasury. If you don't act to stop this kind of behavior, Meta Bank will continue to treat others the way you have been treated. Now is the time to stand up for what is right and what is noble, but you must contact these agencies to make a personal report about your experience. Please act now!!!!
