GTE Federal Credit Union was founded in 1935 and is headquartered in Tampa, Florida. It's a federal credit union that's regulated and insured by the NCUA.
The credit union has a history of competitive certificate and IRA certificate rates.
Membership is open to members of the educational financial club, CUSavers. A one-time $10 fee is required to join CUSavers. In addition to joining CUSavers, you can be immediately eligible to join the credit union if live in certain areas of New Orleans, Louisiana, North Florida and Southwest Florida. Also, you can be eligible via Select Employee Groups or via immediate family.
