Good article. Reminds me of investors who bought stock just before the 1929 crash. Then, it seemed like a catastrophe but if they held on, they would be wealthy now. Assuming they had the time to hold on.

Time is just an extra dimension to accumulate wealth but it in and of itself does no good. Plus, you could have owned stock in TWA or Enron and no amount of time would have helped.

Hi Sam: You hit on one of the messages of the article. If you invest long enough you WILL own TWA/Enron type stock (I have). With time, your portfolio will recover. It is all part of investing.
