I think it's crazy investing in a company like Blackstone. You're basically investing totally in the people and hoping they can continue to buy and sell companies profitably. These companies have benefited from low interest rates and as rates rise, they're going to have problems.

This is true. Their problems will be exacerbated if the Dems change the tax laws so that they are no longer able to take advantage of tax loopholes (as an article that I posted a couple of days ago pointed out). These guys are very bright and they have timed their exit to coincide with the top of the market for their industry.
