Icahn and BEA Systems adamantly argued that the Oracle $17 a share offer for BEA Systems was too low. But, BEA's software is on the road to obsolescence and there are no other bidders. Oracle is showing it isn't going to chase this and said that the initial offer has expired. I would run, not walk, if I were a BEA shareholder now.

You are absolutely right. Icahn got the offer, but then went overboard. I am out.
