Intel now brings in more than half of its revenue from less developed countries in Asia and the Americas. It is pouring tons of money into it's WiMAX projects in Brazil and other emerging markets. This seems to represent a big gamble of emerging markets and on a technology which after years of hype has yet to take off. But, if the strategy is successful, it should provide the engine for these former high-flier to grow again.
