Jeff Macke on CNBC suggests that JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs could pay a heavy price resulting from the government's request that they arrange $75 billion in emergency funding for AIG. Particularly, Macke suggests that these banks could be forced to put up tremendous amounts into AIG if they cannot get anyone else to anti-up. He also points out that AIG is in tremendous trouble if it needs $75 billion to shore up reserves. Najarian also said that there is heavy volume in way out of the money puts on Goldman that expire four days from now. I am not sure if these guys are trying to cause a run on Goldman, but this is a very scary situation.
