Interesting analysis from James Steward, a columnist for Smart Money. Personally, I think the credit crunch is the sign of the unraveling of the credit bubble we've had over the last 5 years, since the tech meltdown. Whole industries have profited enormously from it and are now in trouble. The interesting thing is that the average consumer is okay. I'm still not sure how this is going to play out but I'm optimistic. I do think the Fed is going to have to let this unwind a bit though so there will be some pain.
