Stronger than expected GDP figures as well as continued inflation readings have led the market to believe that the Fed will begin raising rates in October. Based on the Federal Funds predictor that I follow there is a 90% probability that the Fed will keep interest rates steady in June and an 88% probability it will keep them steady at 2% in August.

If you have money now is not the time to be locking it in a long-term CD. Barring any unforseen economic problem, rates look like they will be going up shortly.
