MOBILE APP DATA DELETION REQUEST

This page explains how to request deletion of the data associated with the BestCashCow mobile app for Android and iOS, published by BestCashCow.com, LLC.

How to request deletion

The BestCashCow app has no user accounts, so there is no account for us to look up by name or email. Almost everything the app saves is stored on your own device, and the only record we hold is the registration that lets us deliver the rate alerts you asked for.

  • Step 1 – Delete the data held on your device – Uninstall the app, or open your device settings, find BestCashCow in the list of apps, and choose to clear its storage. This removes your saved rates, your detected state, and all app settings immediately.

  • Step 2 – Delete your rate alerts – Open the app, go to the Alerts tab, and remove the alerts you no longer want. Each alert you remove is deleted from our servers.

  • Step 3 – Ask us to delete your alert registration – To have the whole registration for your device removed from our servers, email [email protected] with the subject line “App data deletion request”. Please state that you are writing about the BestCashCow mobile app and tell us which device platform you use (Android or iOS). If you still have the app installed, mention any rate alerts you had set so that we can identify the registration. We will confirm by reply once the deletion is complete, normally within 30 days of receiving your request.

What is deleted, and what is kept

Deleted on request: your push notification token, your device platform, the device identifier and secret issued to your device, and every rate alert subscription linked to that device. Once these are removed we hold no record of your device, and no further notifications can be sent to it.

Deleted by you, on your device: your saved rates, the U.S. state detected from your location, and your app settings. These never leave your device, so uninstalling the app or clearing its storage erases them permanently and we hold no copy.

Kept: anonymous, aggregated app usage statistics collected through Google Firebase Analytics, such as counts of screens viewed and rates opened. This information is not linked to your name or contact details – we hold none for app users – and cannot be traced back to an individual, so it cannot be selectively deleted on request. It is retained according to the retention period set in our Firebase project and is deleted automatically when that period expires.

We may also retain records where we are required to do so by law, or where they are needed to resolve a dispute or enforce our agreements. Standard web and application server logs, which may contain IP addresses, are retained for a short period for security and troubleshooting and are then discarded.

For a full description of what the app collects and why, see the mobile app section of our Privacy Policy.
