Ablebanking drops all of its CD rates

Ablebanking, a division of North East Bank, has dropped its one-year CD rate from 2.90% to 2.60%, its two-year CD rate from 3.20% to 2.65%, its three-year from 3.30% to 2.75% and its four-year from 3.40% to 2.80%.  It is a surprise to see a bank lowering any CD offerings in the current environment, but they have probably done you a favor: Ablebanking's review on this website have been awful.


Marcus Raises No Penalty CD Rate to 2.35% APY and Online Savings Rate to 2.25%

Today, Marcus raised its 13-month No Penalty CD rate by 10 bps to 2.35% and its online savings rate by 20 bps to 2.25%.

Purepoint has raised its online savings rate to 2.35%.   BestCashCow has received reports that customers of Union Bank in California are being offered bumps on this of 10 to 15 bps.


CIT Raises Savings Builder Rate to 2.45%

CIT Bank has raised its Savings Builder rate to 2.45%.   The Savings Builder account requires either a $25,000 minimum deposit, but can also be opened with as little as $100 with the rate extended each month that you add over $100 to the account each month.


Barclays Increases Online Savings Rate to 2.20%

Ally Raises No Penalty CD Rate to 2.30% on deposits over $25,000

Ally's 13-Month No Penalty CD rate on deposits over $25,000 is now 2.30%.  The No Penalty CD may be opened online, and closed online at any point after one week without penalty.   Ally usually offers this product at a premium and often raises this rate faster than its raises its savings rate (see our discussion on No Penalty CDs here).
