Customer service is actually pretty helpful if you can ever reach anyone.

It was not the easiest set up but I am glad I have enjoyed making much more on my online savings account through this bank this past year.

Was rejected for online account with 800 credit score and I live down the street in New Jersey (Edgewater).

I noticed that this bank is playing around with several different brands and they will give you a slightly higher rate (0.65%) if you open through Onward Bank's website. Maybe they'll also open the account for me. I got denied at Connectone.

I am 83. Had no problem opening this account online.

Move along. Applying is a waste of time. They will reject you.

I was rejected, called and got it through. I was only about to fund by transfering cash from my Purepoint account. It was worth my time for the extra .25% (.65% - the 0.40% that I was getting at Purepoint. That is $500 on $200,000, although it is fully taxable. If the spread were narrower, I wouldn't have wasted my time. Darn with all of these crazy low rates.

Was rejected. Turned 64 a few days back and had not prior been rejected for anything ever?

I've been an account holder here for several months since I first found the listing on Bestcashcow. Even though I live closeby in NNJ, I was not familiar with the bank. Been pleased so far and have not need to call or visit a branch.

I recommend this bank's online savings account. Easy to use and rate competitive.

I live in Tenafly and have been very happy with ConnectOne. They have at least 6 branches near my home and branch managers are always helpful notarizing documents, etc. Especially great that they are now offering a rate that now beats the best online savings rate. I think that they have branches in NY as well, but I am just not sure I would be comfortable working with them if I didn't have access to a branch.

All good until you need to withdraw money and then no good.

I am considering opening an account here, but the reviews on Depositaccounts are lukewarm and all of these reviews suggest some issues with out-of-state accounts. I am in DC and I am not happy with the long, worthless phone calls with TAB. Questioning whether this will be the same or better?

I applied this afternoon and went through the process of answering the credit verification question which obviously come from Transunion or Equifax or something. I answered correctly but was rejected or an account. I called the number and was told that I was rejected because I live in Nevada and the account is intended for residents of New Jersey and New York. I wish that that had been know to me. Perhaps there site should have said something or this site should not be listing it for viewers like me in my state.

There were some issues that had to be resolved and were resolved promptly and very professionally. If I could give them 10 Stars I certainly would. Great CD Rates! Special Professional Service!
