I joined in PENFED in Spring Of 2023 after 15 yrs of belonging to one of the banking giants. I found my accounts dwindling fast unexplained decreases. I decided to close the account but had to return a merchandise for 600.00 same day I closed. Reassured I would get the money from my card refund. I never got that money. The local telkers winkie blinked at each other, asked each other in front of me giggling if that had been taken care of..., then told me they had no such transaction. The merchant showed me a refund after my account closed. Thug Mafia like principles. This is for you if you are like minded. End times.

My husband and I have hade acoou t-shirts with Penfed for over 20 years. Lately the services are awful. Takes 2-3 days to show a transfer ( within the credit union) New website is not user friendly, why companies feel they they need to “update” , why fix something that’s not broke! Difficult to talk to a real person, chat is worthless. It’s a shame .

Member since 1967. Screwed up 2 closings! Sale and buy, all PFCU mortages. Delays forced reschedule and living on economy plus mover surcharge to hold furniture. LAST business I'll ever do with these incompetents that can't do simple tasks on time!

I have been with PenFed for a number of years, and have gotten good products. Employees have been helpful. However, beware of titling for accounts with trusts.
You will not be able to distinguish between names of personal accounts and names of trusts. This becomes a problem in that trustees are listed as joint owners for a trust account. They sent letters to clarify this issue and the letters made my point.
This is a problem waiting to happen.

    Online CDs 12 Month Rates

There’s a reason why this financial institution gets low ratings. The Leadership is slow to change. Just look at the archaic website and the reasons why members complain. The Directors are year past their prime in understanding what the new investors want. Believe it or not its not what you are producing and selling.
