Comprehensive, Unbiased, and Free
BestCashCow went live in 2005 to help consumers understand and find the best rates on savings accounts, CDs, bonds and more. At the time, there were very few unbiased resources to help individuals explore bank rates and to explain the way banking products worked. The site started with a $40 investment to purchase the BestCashCow domain name and a few HTML pages with the best national rates from online banks. As the site's readership grew, we added new features, including mortage and home equity rates, dividend stocks, local bank rates, credit union bank rates, bank and credit union financial summaries, and the physical location of every bank and credit union branch in the United States.
Today, BestCashCow has grown to track over 7,000 FDIC-insured banks, 7,000 credit unions, 130,000 local branches, and over 2,000,000 local and national savings account rates, CD rates, mortgage rates, home equity loan rates and more. We provide online rates as well as local bank rates – down to a specific zip code (check out local bank cd rates or local bank credit unions rates, or see all local banks in your neighborhood). We cover the Dow dividend stocks and provide updates on the bond market.
Our information is comprehensive, unbiased, and free. While banks and credit unions can pay for additional exposure on the site, we list any bank and credit union regardless of whether they pay for advertising or not. That ensures that the rate tables are comprehensive and include the the best rates from local, online, and national banks. BestCashCow believes that by spending a few minutes on the site, almost any consumer can find a way to save and earn more. Even in today's low rate environment, there is competition for your money.

BestCashCow has developed a free interface that allows financial institutions to add new products, update rates, and modify a listing on the site. By partnering with banks, we're able to provide consumers with offers and rates not found anywhere else.
