Four Percent On Checking At Danversbank

Rate information contained on this page may have changed. Please find latest checking rates.

Four percent on a checking account sounds great, and at Danversbank, they've been offering it for a long time now.

DanversBank (NASDAQ: DBNK) is offering a spectacular 4.01 percent APY on checking account balances, up to the first twenty five thousand dollars. And while this rate isn't guaranteed, it's stayed at this rate since April of 2008.

This rate puts it well over the highest rate offered on Best Cash Cow's savings rates--currently 2.25 percent with EverBank's Money Market Account.

To get this rate, you'll need to make a minimum deposit of one hundred dollars, make twelve debit card transactions, and set up either a monthly direct deposit or a recurring electronic payment. And ATM usage doesn't count on toward that debit card transaction total. You can either sign up at a Danversbank branch or sign up at www.danversbank.com.

Danversbank carries a "superior" five star rating (the highest possible) at Bauer Financial.

I've had a Danversbank Rewards Checking account since March '10. The account is great - the only downside is at this point they do not offer ACH tranfer capability to allow you to move funds between your existing non-Danversbank account your account at Danversbank. A customer service rep told me that this feature should be available in the near future.
