iGObanking.com today raised the rate on its high yield checking account to 3.85% APY. That's fairly competitive for a no minimum balance, no fee account and the yield ranks up there with the best online savings accont and money market account rates. The account has a $1 minimum balance with no fees.
In addition, they are offering a $50 gas card promotion to the first 400 customers who open up a high yield checking account. To get the gas card you must pay three bills via their online bill pay tool before December 31st. The promotion started in August so it's hard to know if they've run through 400 customers yet. I'm going to call tomorrow to find out.

From a safety and soundess standpoint, Bauer Financial rates them 4 starts out of 5, which is good, especially in today's environment.
