@The Ax, that isn't here because that isn't the offer anymore. If you spend $12,000 in a calendar year, you get 25,00 bonus points and you need to spend $30,000 for the "travel together" pass.

You neglect to point out that this card also gives another 50,000 points when you spend something like $12,000 and then a companion ticket when you spend $24,000. For those of us who aren't flippers, but are trying to triangulate to one or more really valuable cards to stick with, this has much more than 2.7% back in value.
No free checked bags?

The card does not give the holder a free checked bag like the cards from the US carriers do. While I like the points to redeem on American, this is a benefit that should be included.
