It's Official Now: It is Hillary vs. Mac

Ignore the media hype. This entire nominating process is over. It is now time to focus on the global economic meltdown and on football.

After the most recent primaries (SC for the Republicans, Nevada for the Dems and NH for both), it is official. Hillary will be the Democrat nominee and McCain the Republican.

You can now igore the media hype over the next several weeks about Super Tuesday. This is over. On the Democrat side, Obama is a mess who speaks well but cannot articulate any meaningfull policy and is about to get crushed. John Edwards is a mess who has already been crushed. On the Republican side, Thompson and Guiliani are already sleeping, Romney will be out when he exhausts all of his money and Huckabee will be out when he can't get any more. Oh, and by the way, I wouldn't hold my breathe for a Bloomberg / Schwartenegger ticket - that ticket would have only been viable were Huckabee the Republican candidate.

If politics is your thing, you can now focus on who will be the Vice Presidents (I personally predict it will be Biden with Clinton and Bill Frist with McCain but I am not certain).

If politics isn't, then you are now free to go back and focus on the economic catastrophe that Countrywide has created and on football.

I think we'll learn a lot in the Florida primary regarding the Republicans. Who ever wins Florida will have momentum going into Super Tuesday. If Rudy loses Florida, it's safe to say it's over for him.

I happen to agree. ktexas is right though, Florida is the wild card. I happen to think Guliani made a mistake conceding all of the early primaries but maybe he'll pull out a win in FL.
