The Problem with the IPhone is You

The iPhone is an inappropriate business tool, and a play tool that keeps showing me what I cannot do.

I just got my first iPhone and am convinced that the thing is an absolute dog, and is going to die a violent death.

There are many problems with this device. It is very poorly thought out and rushed to market. Looks great in my hand, but there are all sorts of problems. Among those points that I see separately discussed on this site, such as inability to change battery, susceptibility to viruses, etc., I have also found that the thing is a dreadful business tool as I cannot open or make attachments.

After a day, I have given it up as a business tool (I'll keep my Blackberry) and tried to see if I might be able to use it for play only - but it just keeps showing me what I cannot do.

1) I cannot film, but I can watch Youtube.
2) I cannot write, but I can read.
3) I cannot record, but the iPhone has an iPod.
4) No GPS, but Google maps look good.

Am I really so dumb?

You sounds like a crank. Give the iPhone a break. This is version 1 of the product. It's pretty darn good and it's only going to get better. The hype was a bit extreme but that's Apple.

I like to think that I run in all of the right social circles, yet I have yet to see the damn thing. And, when I read articles like this, I am convinced that it is a bust.

The thing is a bust and this is why you should have waited a few weeks before spilling your hard-earned money.
