President Trump Has Been Briefed on the Terror Attack In London; I’ve also Told My Three-Year Old

Today’s terrorist attack at Parliament is the first crisis of Trump’s Presidency – or at least the first crisis that isn’t of his making or Russia’s.

While we have been very fortunate not to have a crisis in US or with any of our close allies, our luck has run out after 62 days.

The news that the major networks are showing - that the “President has been briefed” – and his own childish reaction (“something happened”) underscore the new reality. The new reality is that the U.S. cannot be a leader in this world and in the global fight against terror as long as we have a President who is as unfit as he. Our allies will need to fend for themselves.

I lived in England on 9/11. England was there for the US then. It is too bad that we cannot be here for them now.
