I can't believe what I am seeing at 10 AM EST this morning on the nation's leading financial channel.

Here are some reasons why this may be happening:
1) CNBC is trying to improve its ratings in the wake of coming competition from Fox.
2) Michelle is trying to improve her ratings and get a full time gig being on TV after 6 AM in the morning (she is usually on much earlier).
3) This dramatic run up in the stock market is really that exciting.
4) GE's stock is at a 7 year high.
5) Sitting next to Mark Haines is really exciting.
Any other explanations?

I think Michelle is one of the best CNBC has to offer. She has provided excellent coverage in the past on Latin American issues. Her subject knowledge appears extensive over broad areas. Her overall presentation keeps me--the viewer interested. I always like seeing Michelle on my screen. She, like Maria B. possesses reverent power, or simply likability. The team at CNBC possesses a genuine asset in Michelle. I hope those in charge of the show can strategically challenge her, and give us more Michelle in the future.

Furthermore, after thinking the Michelle issue over a bit longer, perhaps her contract needs rethinking. I'm not sure what her compensation package includes, but a solid remuneration negotiation warrants consideration here. The woman obviously cares about world issues, and informs the public, as does the entire team at CNBC. However, television forums, and packages require change. Does CNBC want her on the team in the future. If so, then, challenge this reporter. Give her more assignments which educate me about Latin America, about Aids, about the future. Compensate her, educate her, and develop her to become one of the greats!

The piece Michelle did this morning about sub-prime mortgages in Philadelphia held my interest. This segment shows the crisis in a down home setting. All too often a high percentage of the news put forth on CNBC focuses on the big guy or the big bank. The clip demonstrates how the "sub-prime mess" affects the working poor.
The clip, although brief in nature, illustrates the crisis for many working poor. We also see a compassionate side of the reporter, Michelle Caruso Cabrera. This reporter makes me feel like she cares about this issue.
And, this issue won't go away anytime soon unfortunately. Well done CNBC team; well done Michelle, please keep this reporter in the trenches of reporting the working class struggle for financial existence. One day, her intellect on mainstream American financial/social problems could advise legislators, Congress, and even Presidents.

Mr. EL-Erian was previously a person unknown to me. It's obvious from the segment Michelle did with him this morning from L.A. that derivative abuses helped to lead to our current economic situation. I am glad to see this reporter interviewing someone with a genuine grip on economics, and the impact on society, or "the forgotten man". I would like to see Michelle do a full hour show at some point in the future. Somehow, I know CNBC cares about the little person as well as the big. Let Michelle be a voice for those with social challenges.

Mixchelle -- opps! M-i-c-h-e-l-l-e is a beautiful woman. Her cleavage is welcome, and to be expected,in such d-o-w-n markets. How Low should she Go? As an astute investor in such matters, as low as she wants.
Michelle inspires me. I looked up 'Nip,' on the excxhanges, ready to buy, no matter what. It's not a listed symbol. Then I got bold. I looked up 'boob.' Same result. No Latin-heritage hot blood on The Street?
To end on a fickle note -- Michelle puts the caffeine in my coffee. She's beautiful -- Oh, I said that. She's bright, saucy, she's Kool, with a 'K,'she's hot, knowing, winsome, she's smooth and quick, elegant and feminine, she asks hard questions with a purrrfect elan. I want to take her to dinner, before John McCain invites her for the VP ticket.

I witnessed Michelle in several slots this past week. One morning she was on air with Joe, and Karl while Becky was out with W.B. in Nebraska. She continues to fascinate the viewer with intellect. She brings a different vantage point to the discussion table. I wonder what type of music she likes. Do any cage fighters here who haven't "tapped out", or anyone by that esoteric definition who frequent this website know? I think perhaps she would like this music, but I could be totally off base.

I just witnessed Michelle on Power Lunch. She came off like an old hand at doing the show with expert confidence. Michelle or whoever chooses her colors did an excellent job in selecting purple lavender. She looks professional, and made an excellent point about not being able to regulate away innovation. I want more substance from her though. Who, what, when, where, why, and how all need answers. Yet, Michelle still ranks as one to watch for on CNBC.

I woke up to a dreary day.
The blowing drizzle, the chill, the gloomy sky all made the coffee pot matter more.
And, then, the CNBC morning show did have for a moment Michelle,
and an AFLAC trivia question to make me think about Einstein, Wilson, and Teddy Roosevelt.
Into the auto I hopped, and my coffee spillage...
not a drop!
This coffee wakes up people around the world.
Michelle Caruso- Cabrera brightens the early morning eyes,
and I can remember the camera shot of her thighs
as I steer the long and winding road on this awful day.
Will the sun shine? Will it come out? I want to play, but can't today!
I drive along, and pass the white horse, a Norwegian for
sure.
Clearly, it's another day for me without Michelle, and the caste of CNBC.
Yet, their wit, their charms, their humor, keen insights, imagined coffee breath, their smiles, and the like, I carry in my heart,
and use as a supplemental cure, and still I wish for more.
For soon the business of hard work must start,
and the coffee cup gets emptied,
and the car door shuts,
and I push the buttons on the door.
Then, in a faded agony, I look at the time,
greet the others as I go,
and limp across the floor.
Yes, indeed, I limp across the floor!

On this morning, Michelle wore an appropriate orange blouse. Some of the guests on the show included: Mike Holland, Dick Armey, Robert Reich, Art Cashion, and another gentleman who discussed health care plans.
Discussion focused on why Reich was not backing Clinton for President. Michelle called Mr. Reich a traitor at one point. He eloquently defended his posture in supporting Obama. Did I hear a bias from Michelle?
Then discussion drifted toward health care. Michelle did emphasize the importance of the issue. I applaud the efforts of CNBC to include representatives from both major political parties to discuss this issue.
I would like to have seen Michelle, and Mike Holland generate more discourse with one another during the show. Mr. Holland was a true friend of the great financial commentator, Mr. Louis Rukeyser. This man understands Wall Street survival. She could gain a massive understanding from that man just as Lou did.
I did not care for the diatribe between the CNBC economist, and the bond trader in Chicago on this day. Please Joe, stop this from happening. Diatribe like that makes me feel like this show is just imitating ESPN. Or, at least warn me when the B.S. will start so I can turn my set on mute. If it weren't for the fact that Michelle was on the show, at that point, I would have quit watching.

I just finished watching Power Lunch today. Michelle, Sue, and the other fellow did a quality job. Michelle once again displayed a diverse array of questions when interviewing guests. At one point, she made the comment,"all publicity is good publicity".
One of the segments on the show featured the discovery of oil off the coast of Brazil. I found this segment quite informative, as I have never visited Brazil. It would be nice for CNBC to lend publicity to all Latin American countries. Today was Brazil, why not another country of Latin America in the future, and so forth? I'm just an ignorant WASP, and would like to expand my education.
All of the CNBC caste were dressed very professionally. I also appreciated the segment dedicated to the art sale both yesterday, and today. Michelle will go very far if she continues to work very hard.

To borrow a Charles Dickens like expression, "Me Buttons", what a great Power Lunch Show! Today, everyone, Sue H., Rick S, Dennis, Charlie G., Mary T., David F., Bill G., Michelle, all of the support personnel, and the special guests gave viewers a genuinely informative, interesting, relevant, product of television. All possessed an extremely professional look.
I was happy to see Mr. Steve L., and Mr. Rick S. refrain from ESPN like behavior as displayed earlier in the week. The quality of the show was enhanced overall at that point as a result. Well done gentlemen!
I was glad to see the visit once again to Brazil, and the segment dedicated to agriculture. It was also nice to see the clip about Tuscany, Italy. However, as an American who lived in Europe for over 4 years, I find the suggestion of visiting Italy any time soon impractical for anyone other than the wealthy. It boils down simply to the value of the dollar.
Why doesn't CNBC invite Mr. Volker to the show to discuss the dollar? I am not sure of the quality of his health, but he would be a good man on this issue. President Reagan believed in a strong dollar, and all things point to the weakness of the dollar as being the culprit for our current economic challenges. I'd also like to see other politicians quizzed to move in the general direction of dollar strengthening.
Mr. Dylan R. also contributed to the show with his confident demeanor, and impeccable apparel.
One caveat to the ladies of CNBC. I am not looking to watch another B. J. Walters. She is a one of a kind person. Be yourselves, be confident, explore the realm of possibilities as you engage in each interview. Let the person getting interviewed feel at ease. Let your particular interview skills shine. I could order old B. J. Walters interviews if I wanted to watch them.
Gentlemen, I love quality humor in conjunction with information.
On another note, as a viewer. Occasionally, it appears Becky, and Mark H. have a bite of food in their mouth while in front of the camera. If this is so, I can tell. Please feed these people prior to going on show if this observation is correct. I find both of them to be outstanding in all other areas.
Overall, this Friday Power Lunch Show was super! With that, I must tip to you all my Victorian hat, and once again, I must say, "Me Buttons!"

Today, the breath of spring looking lady in pink discussed the farm bill with some political types. At one point during the discussion, she asked about farm subsidization. She received a response from one of the gentlemen which stated, "she didn't sound like an objective reporter". He took it personally.
Michelle took responsibility for the question, demonstrated moxie, and stayed focused on the issue. Politicians will often resort to personal attacks when issues set the table.
It's intuitively obvious to this casual observer, quality financial reporters don't always make/develop friendships by asking the tough questions. However, difficult, sometimes non-popular questions can effectuate, and initiate change in the political thinking of the masses.
For the record, I grew up on a farm. And, concur categorically with the thinking of the feisty lady in pink!

I want it to reverberate from the highest of mountains, "let the dollar rise", from Georgia to Washington, from Chicago to New York, from coast to coast, to all the financial centers, and numbered bank accounts throughout the world. The US dollar will rise again. Strengthen the dollar, and we shall overcome. Oh DOLLAR, for whom THE BELL tolls, it TOLLS FOR THEE!
Some people say, it's not about the dollar. And, to those nonbelievers I say the dollar rise will bring the commodity prices to realistic valuations. Remember Ronald Reagan, the champion of a strong dollar.
All of these energy concerns happened before. Remember Jimmy Carter sitting in the White House with a sweater discussing the energy crisis with the "It's Real" speech. Read a book by Leon Mosley called "Power Play". It discusses that four letter word--OPEC in great detail.
Is this deja vu? Could this be a crisis we all once knew? Are all members of OPEC, happy with each other? What could cause this OPEC to become the OPEC of other days? Do I feel my wallet strengthening, or am I simply dreaming?

At one point while walking on this planet, I heard it said, that the color red stimulates the appetite. On this day Michelle (the lady in red), and the Power Lunch team satisfied my hunger for news.
I was pleased to see the segment on Columbia. I'm glad to see it as an up, and coming nation. The drug lord stigma for the country seems to remain omnipresent. Michelle asked a question implicating the thug named Hugo as a supporter of terrorism. The gentleman getting interviewed couldn't adequately address the issue, but highlighted Columbia as a country with a business future.
Politics was covered extensively as well. It's refreshing to live in a country where elections can get held freely. I am concerned about the safety of candidates, and hope Mr. Obama, and Mr. McCain possess the very best security personnel available. The last thing this country needs is a catastrophic event due to a lacking security force for presidential candidates. Let the election happen, and let the peoples' choice prevail!
And, OH, DOLLAR...for whom THE BELL TOLLS, it tolls FOR THEE!
I need to purchase an "Open It" gizmo. Years of hardship opening batteries can now be over for me.
On another note, to all the CNBC family, I offer my heart felt condolences on the recent loss of one of your own. I wish you all only the best always.

You know, I thought I was imaging things...until I came across this blog. I've only been watching CNBC for 3 months, but Michelle Caruso-Cabrera caught my eye immediately. I noticed her displaying some on-screen sexual flirtation with Dennis Kneale, who she was paired up with in April/May 2008 on Power Lunch. It must have been unwanted, because I never saw Dennis react to it. My God, one day MCC wore this push-up bra!!! I mean, C'MON, she's already an endowed woman!!! I thought it was way over the top!!! For a Financial News Network, I mean. I'm not complaining, but c'mon, she was definitely trying to get a rise out of somebody! I don't know how Dennis does it! How do I describe the meaningfulness of a Power Lunch show? Let me count the ways. Does Mr. Dennis keep people attuned? Does the informative and mighty "bill" shock us into reality? Does Sue, in her imagined Suburban take me away from the reality I accept?
The answer is simply no.
On this day, Michelle, a woman in a purple blouse moved me. Something in the way she moves, attracts me like no other reporter. I understand my role, and understand hers in this joint venture. However, corn moves me. We all gather at this friggin' imaginary water cooler at the end of a Power Lunch show.

LOL! I must admit Jackson, the other day, I my heart fluttered when Michelle said the name of Ronald Reagan, and she also commented on the strength of the dollar. And, I will not lie. Michelle would make a beautiful canvas by the right artist. As it is my understanding Michelle currently has a relationship with a billionaire, that leaves me out of the picture of her love life. However, I could put myself on the overtime desired list if it would change anything.
Sexual relationships come, and go! I have known many in the biblical sense. To think of her in a lustful way would somehow cheapen or lessen my regard for her at this juncture. I can only say, I offer Michelle my friendship via this medium. And, when I make a friend, it is always for life!

This morning Michelle discussed the concept of privatization of social security. Dylan promptly agreed with the idea. I also wholeheartedly support the theory, yet, our government will not allow this to take place given our grid locked political system.
Perhaps we should focus on what political actions we can control. In a novel named, "Ceremony of the Innocent", written by one of my favorite authors, the late Taylor Caldwell, she wrote, "The power to tax gives government the power to wage war". She also revisited the issue in one of her most famous novels, my very favorite book, "The Captains and the Kings".
Caldwell was no stranger to politics as she was raised into the life to a degree. Wouldn't we do well to revisit the tax model for our Federal system? I want America to succeed economically. And, I want my government to spend wisely, and as frugally as possible. In effect, I want the Congress to not have the dollars at their disposal to spend. By curbing dollars available, they will in effect shrink government as our economy grows. Does that make sense?
Congress should look at passing laws to limit what percentage of the budget can get funded via deficits. In essence, Congress needs to take the keys away from itself, as it is undoubtedly drunk with spending.
The next Presidential Administration will inherit challenges concerning deficits, taxes, spending, the economy, social security, health care policy, energy plans, homeland security, defense, etc.. In all of the areas listed above, I implore the future administration to take on the cloak of Ronald Reagan. I remember him saying, "The government that is best, governs the least." We are a free country. Please keep us that way.
Privatization of social security would be great. I concur. Unfortunately, that may occur if, and when pigs fly!

I would like Michelle to walk on my back if she doesn't make it to the moon.

Hey guys what do you think of this interesting market? What kind of positions and what kind of trading do you guys take part in? I am currently still short financials, as long as they stay under their 30 weekly MA. I am long biotech and research services stocks. I am also waiting to see if the commodities continue up over their 30 weekly MA and US dollar continue down, when these trends continue I am Jumping back in.

Sean,
It's good to see you. Doesn't Michelle report financial news in an excellent fashion? I like coffee. I believe oil could go to $69 per barrel if the dollar continues to surge. It's all about THE DOLLAR! I do not concur with your "Jumping Back In" theory. But, we all possess our own strategy.
Which biotech companies do you like? I wish you luck on your side of the tug of war rope.

ISleep, do you like coffee, as in your trying to corner the market? I love drinking the coffee myself. Michelle really reports the news in her own style and I approve. Yes oil and commodities are definitely looking week and the dollar looks strong. I don’t however believe the dollar bottomed last month.

Sean,
I like to drink coffee too, and own shares of CBOU. If you'd like to visit the CBOU yahoo board, I posted a good deal under the thread ...Brett Favre, Alizee, and other thoughts. I can only corner a pot of coffee at a time.
Michelle makes me happy when I see her on the screen. I'd like her to occasionally "wink" at the camera from time to time just as Louis Rukeyser did. As a viewer, it always made me feel like a friend was in front of me when he did it.
Dollar strength will bring commodity prices to realistic valuations from my vantage.
I like music of all sorts. One day, I came across the Flobots, and the "No Handlebars" video. Watch it sometime, and perhaps you'll catch my meaning. Michelle looks a bit like one of the people featured in the video with a bit of an age gap.
I wish you a splendid day Sean!

I didn't catch Michelle today. But, holy cow did the market get some folks gasping for air!
I like the dollar getting stronger. I like the idea of Americans getting more for their purchasing power throughout the world. I do not apologize for being an American.
Dollar strength has lead to commodity price adjustments. Perhaps foreign oil countries will need to consider refinancing large scale projects. Some argue a strong dollar will weaken our export posture. Perhaps, but the world requires our technology. The world needs us in spite of their anti-American propaganda. Without US in the lead, the world flounders.
I am one hundred percent invested in the US stock market on this day. CNBC keeps discussing the financial situation repeatedly. THIS TOO, SHALL PASS!!! Go to your refrigerator. Is there food? Go to your sink. Is there water? Do you possess a means for the above to continue? We've been much worse off as a country.
If CNBC really believed we had a genuine crisis, they'd suggest to all America how to hunker down. I say, don't apologize for being American. Purchase "I" bonds if you possess the slightest concern about our capital system. Strengthen your government, pay down your credit cards, pay your mortgage regularly, avoid speculation in unfamiliar areas, save as opposed to spend, increase revenues, decrease expenses as a daily practice, read Humberto Cruz, watch Michelle, and others on CNBC who can see beyond the moment.
Oil will drop, the dollar will gain in strength, the market will recover, Michelle will smille on my screen again. And, I say again, THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!

Every year about this time, I make a batch of between 30-50 gallons of home made wine. It's fun, I learn, and my friends enjoy the final product. Today, my wine making venture got interrupted when Michelle appeared on my screen. She mentioned the "little guy" in this financial restructuring. Unfortunately, nothing more of substance ensued as I sat glued to the monitor hopeful of her reemergence.
As she reappeared not, I went back to producing this wine. Then, she smiled, and my day improved.
Perhaps this year will find me purchasing a still to make a stiffer drink. I'm undecided. However, I'm thinking of calling my product "Special Michelle" or "Royal Michelle" or something along those lines.
The time to depart approaches, and my homemade spaghetti needs a stir. Come to my table. We'll all eat, drink, and enjoy a cheerful time! The "little man", and the "forgotten man" can sit on my right.
It seems the little guy will save the Wall Street titans this time around.

The Senor Slim interview clip I witnessed this evening sparked interest. It's no mistake the man made so much wealth. He seems shrewd, cool, and calculating even while walking unassumingly behind Michelle. It's good to see such a fish on CNBC from another country.
Kudos to all who landed him. MCC as usual put it all together, and it's only a Wednesday.
Andrew, and Phil's discussion of the auto industry at length causes me to think about what Willie Durant might be doing in his grave. Can his ghost reappear?
He did it several times while alive. Once when he was ousted by GM, Durant teamed up with a French race car driver named Chevrolet. Of course it's a different world since then. Perhaps the industry needs a "crazy man" with small ideas about doing away with dealerships to save it.
Again, I feel proud for some reason on this day. CNBC, your reporter, has indeed arrived!

"Market Visions from a Duck Blind"
I awoke on this morn with a dot in my eye. With hopes
of soon many ducks to spy.
The coffee hot straight out of my pot, kept my hand warm as I drove to the best of the best hunting spot.
Into the boat went the Benelli, and rounds for the shooting feast. No time to waste, I tested the wind. Then, decoys spread out off to the East.
I rowed with a stroke unlike that of a regatta type as the weeds fell off the oars with every water poke.
To the blind I hopped, ankle in pain, fowl in the air.
But where are the ducks? Please, let there be ducks!
I see swarms of red-winged black birds, and sea gulls, and a few geese high, and away. The reeds browned, wild rice wistfully bent, the marsh still alive, yet, somehow so November.
Some ducks fly over, but way too high for a shot. Off again to the East appears a fluffy white cloud with the sun behind it shining rays of God's presence. The ducks fly into the pillow.
Alas, it's a bluebird day. After a long wait, and no shot taken, I collect my belongings, unload the Benelli, bring in the decoys, and depart to my next sporting play.
Markets happen like duck hunting. Some times, the conditions exist for excellent stock shooting. Other days of the bluebird happen in the markets as well.
The fluffy clouds in the distance like the anchors of CNBC help to make the days worth the hunt. Oh, the clouds on my screen make the day brighter, and fun.
With a dot on my small i,

IT ALL BOILS DOWN TO THE STRENGTH OF THE DOLLAR FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS!!!
Dollar strength will again lead to a major decline in oil to perhaps even $36 over the coming 6 months. This decline in energy prices will assist massively to stimulate the overall MAIN STREET economy. "Dah Prez don't come from Texas anymore."

At one point during the Power Lunch Show on this Veteran's Day, MCC stated she was tired of giving history lessons. To paraphrase, she understands where the economy has been, she wants to know from guests where the economy is headed.
Many of the guests on CNBC point to the housing crisis, and declare getting it to bottom out will turn this economy around. While I agree with many of these people, a much clearer, and discernible answer lies in the cost of energy.
At one point in the life, I was given a token coin by the Chief of Transportation of the US Army. On the coin it says, "Nothing Happens Unless Something Moves."
Energy costs affect many more Americans than do mortgages. Many people, wealthy and poor alike rent as opposed to own housing. The costs of energy effects more people directly. As energy prices deflate a huge boost to this economy will ensue.
How can energy prices get lowered? Energy prices will get lowered by continuing to strengthen THE DOLLAR FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS! An almost certain positive indicator for our economy overall will happen when/if Bedouin tent making futures increase substantially as Middle Eastern countries suspend plans for capital construction projects.
"Those who forget history are destined to repeat it."
Happy Veteran's Day!

And, to expand upon uncertainty, we need to examine what surely seems certain in life. I list here a few certainties.
1) Death...I know, it's a long way off hopefully, but get a will. If you don't currently have an heir, I'd be happy to stand-in. Remember, it's isleepwell with a small letter "i" with a dot on top of it.
2) Taxes...Although the Obama campaign told us 95% of the population will gain tax relief, I find it confusing. Currently, I take advantage of every tax deductible possibility available, and am happy with my rate. I contribute the maximum to my 401k plan, and save as much as possible. From where will this stimulus come?
3) Disappointment...Life deals serious blows. They can appear financially, emotionally, and physically to name a few. Even I must admit to failure in investments at times. I also must entertain the notion of never, ever meeting MMCC in my life time. I may never walk without a limp again either. I'm not complaining, merely stating sometimes things don't work out as planned. So plan for the worst, and hope for the best. This means visit an investment pro, perhaps visit a counseling type at times, and stay physically fit.
4) Life takes energy... Without power, we cannot go. It's simple! So, get prepared for the drain. Your boss will want something of you. And, guess what, he/she will want more. This can suck the life out of a person eventually. So, pace yourself, much like OPEC paces itself. They meet to determine how much oil will get produced, and the world usually pays the price of their agenda. Establish your own agenda, and provide your employer with their desires, but keep something in reserve for another day as well. After all, you may not always flip burgers for a living. Believe in yourself!
5) Conflict...Although it can cause early aging, I value debate. One side of a spectrum can point out the pitfalls of the other corner, and spectators can gain a massive understanding of an issue by listening. Life will present conflict in many forms. Grow with it, and learn what makes the other side tick to better establish future relationships.
6) Your Mood...This certainty I list last because you possess total control of your mood. Only you can maintain temper. I've always found it impressive how the caste of CNBC never complains about a physical ailment on air. This not only reflects professionalism, but it shows mood control. I do believe times for high emotion exist. Coaching a football game, demonstrating a valid point during debate, saving a life, all require a higher level of mood pitch.
So, where am I going? Remember, it's Saturday night, and MMCC didn't stop bye. And, in all probability I won't hit the POWERBALL lottery tonight either.
I believe with all the uncertainty surrounding us, we do still possess some certainties. And, I've only mentioned a few. Over these aforementioned certainties we hopefully maintain a bit of control or influence upon the outcome. Niccolo Machiavelli refers to this as "Fortuna"
Fortuna or luck is a half and half thing according to Machiavelli. Therefore, we deal with certainty, and uncertainty. Currently, our world seems uncertain financially. Consider the "certain" things to jog, and beat your market "uncertainties."
After writing all of this, I can only conclude certainly, these times seem uncertain. But, these uncertain times present wonderful certain returns.

I make this post thinking of the one I post about. I do not feel proud about a person "wet nursing" any situation for a dollar. And, I work for a living.
This past week, I met a very happy couple named Joanni and Ramon who shot pool much better than I. It's luck that I met them for I need practice. And, they showed me tactfully, my shot/shortcomings in the game of pool.
Oh, my neck aches, and it hurts badly. And, so do does my ankle, and shoulder as well pain awfully. Yet, the other half of my wine got racked on this day.
Perhaps I will call it royal, or special, or mixxed, or rred...or whatever theeeeeeeee over paid, and unsensitive, and uncaring, and unloving, or uncancook say. Yet, this wine possesses certain potentialities.
This is my best, thus far.

I break my silence on this board to appeal to the Washington Post. Please give cover to the female journalist recently convicted of espionage, and sentenced to eight years in an Iranian prison. An act of this nature against one American, should get construed as an act against all Americans. If she was a spy, then, Mr. Gates, should act. If she is not a spy, then, Hillary Clinton should act. Supposedly, if elected President of this United States, Secretary Clinton would have moved heaven and earth. Can Secretary Clinton rapidly return this daughter to her parents?
At this juncture, the guilt or innocence of the American journalist seems irrelevant.
She has already spent 4 months in a prison in Iraq. We cannot allow this journalist to be a pawn in a chess game of world powers. How far are our soldiers from the Iranian border? Washington Post, and AP, please hear my call. We are all brothers, and sisters on this one. Let's bring her home soon. I name her not, for she is ours; she's away held hostage by Iranian strangers in a strange land. Can we smite them? What would Ronald Reagan do?

Liberty held hostage has a birthday tomorrow in Iran. This whole affair makes me recollect a time when I was the lone American in a youth hostel with 3 Brits, one Sudanese arms smuggler, and 50 Iranians in Bern, Switzerland. I can recall one intellectual Iranian engaging me in discourse. No one was kidnapped, and held against their will. We debated, and departed with better understandings of each other.
As an American of Swiss descent, I implore the Swiss officials acting to release our American journalist to act rapidly to bring this situation to a conclusion. Liberty will not get forgotten! Liberty breathes! Long live liberty! Switzerland, you can make the world proud in this endeavor.
Happy birthday to you one I do not name. You, and others like you around the globe inspire others to rally against tyranny. And, we forget you not.

I am somewhat heartened on this day to read an article in the Wall Street Journal entitled, "Iran Court Reviews Reporter's Spy Case written by Farna Fassihi. It appears next to another article entitled, "North Korea Blocks U.S. Journalists" written by Evan Ramstad.
The article out of Tehran, Iran gives a glimmer of hope for the one I do not name, while the article out of Seoul offers none at this juncture. These acts of kidnapping bother me. How can a supposedly civilized nation abduct and hold people who belong to our free society get away with this without retribution?
For Mr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad this may seem like a small political maneuver. Let's not forget where he got his start. Do you recall 444 days during the Carter, and Reagan administrations concerning abducted Americans?
For North Korea, the picture appears less clear. Is no news good news?
I am not calling for an ultimatum to either one of these independent nations. But, I will say this to Iran. You, and you alone will be responsible for the price of oil to decline to as much as $31 per barrel. You, and you alone are the sole entity that can change that course. This is not an ultimatum, but a simple fact. The American dollar will continue to gain in strength for good reasons. As the dollar rises again, oil prices will plummet. Let LIBERTY go, and move your knight.
Additionally, these journalists are people, they should get treated with dignity. Who from Geneva is checking on this?
The article from Tehran states, "at least a significant reduction of her sentence." Mr. Ahmadinejad, the people of America request the full exoneration of LIBERTY, and hope you allow her to depart Iran immediately.
I CASTLE!

Journalist Saberi Leaves Tehran Following Release

NPR.org, May 14, 2009 · Iranian-American journalist Roxana Saberi, who was convicted of espionage in Iran last month, is leaving Tehran after being released from prison on Monday.
Saberi, who has worked as a freelance reporter for NPR and other news organizations, was heading to Austria with her parents Thursday, a family friend traveling with the Saberis tells NPR. They plan to travel to the United States soon.
Saberi had been sentenced to eight years in prison after a closed-door trial April 13, but an appeals court reduced that to a two-year suspended sentence.
The 32-year-old journalist, a native of Fargo, N.D., had been living in Iran for six years. She was arrested on Jan. 31.
Mr. Ahmadinejad please accept my sincere gratitude in this matter. This act will get remembered.
Switzerland, I am also proud of my heritage for your involvement in this affair.
To the one previously unnamed by me, I wish you only the very best, and a long happy life. I look forward to reading your book.
BRAVO TO LIBERTY!

Heavy equipment transport system a genuine good to go. Negative on the payload question BOTPlatform. MCC beautiful, and brilliant as ever. Notice her military style of hand use. She uses her whole hand to point, and doesn't point with her index finger. This professional, and team oriented television journalist continues to radiate the camera lens magnificently.

Yesterday, in the 9th race at Arlington Park a gelding named Cuban Missile caught my attention. I put him on top, and caught both the exacta, and superfecta. Ah, Michelle, I am glad for your ethnic origin, and other stuff!

Michelle and Dennis Kneale are nasty idiots, why in the world are they on TV at all, especially a major network? Write to CNBC to demand that they be kicked off [they have little sympathy for the unemployed, let them experience it !]

Wow! I am the 100,000 th view. Goodness, who would have thunk it? I guess a great topic, and a mind is all it takes. A jeweler friend of mine told me today, "it all starts with an idea." I wish all readers of this thread only the very best.

I think "isleepwell" must be sleeping with Michelle and she has sure" pulled the wool" over his eyes. Michelle is an abrasive, opinionated, and intolerant woman.

One this day Michelle, Karl, Mr. Steve L. did the Squawk thing with Mr. Mike Holland. I liked the dress Michelle wore. I didn't get the AFLAC Trivia Question correct.
They chatted about the wealthiest Americans losing a collective $300,000,000,000 last year. Truth be told, I lost a few bucks too.
I haven't sent the wine yet. I am thinking of getting labels made. It will keep though. This year, I'm making batches of Red Raspberry, Concorde Grape, and Wild Grape. The Wild Grape tastes like nectar of the gods.
Barbara, in response to your post I can only say this. Perhaps you know or think Michelle to be an abrasive, opinionated, and intolerant woman. What makes you think such a woman unworthy of my admiration? Furthermore, these characteristics can
take a person far. Remember this, the eyes are the mirror of the soul, and her eyes smile.
If any wool gets pulled over my eyes by this financial reporter, then, she can keep pulling it. And, for the record, I find your assumptions a bit crass.

Hmmm.........Naviscan....not listed as a publicly traded company on my screen. Perhaps it should gain a listing. The interview conducted by Sue H. with the Naviscan fellow gets the grand prize today for the Power Lunch show. Sue, you will do!
Dennis mentioned something about virtual stuff. I couldn't follow him. He sounds intelligent though, so, he gets a thumbs up too!
Michelle asked Mr. Grasso about the dollar, and he effectively gave a non-answer. His cavalier attitude towards the strength of the dollar certainly causes me concern. If he represents the majority of Wall Street
thinkers on the dollar issue, then, we need to strap ourselves in for an inflationary period. I am an advocate of a strong American dollar, and will never concede to those who say a weak dollar is good for the US, and the world.
Mr. Griffeth as always kept the show interesting, and on task.
Overall, as a viewer of CNBC, I am thankful for all of the hard work, and dedication all of you do to create such splendid shows. This applies to everyone, the writers, the producers, the camera folks, the on screen types, the gophers, the coffee makers, the unsung heroes who make it all possible. You all matter! And, I do indeed thank you over this medium.

I see after review in the past year I posted approximately 11 times. Even after swearing of posting here no longer, I am somehow again finding myself doing this once more. In the year past, I witnessed MMCC on screen less, yet thought none the lesser of her in my mind. How did this happen?
My wines this year at first racking seem wonderful, and in my heart want to send everyone a glass. What would you do if one day a case of MMCC INSPIRED wound up on your set? My hope is that you would share.
I could boast of making lots of money this year. But that would not be true. I could also boast of making lots of love in 2009, and that would equally be untrue. However, I can boast of making lots of quality wine 2009, and this statement would be true.
I wish every frequenter of this board a splendid toast for the NEW YEAR OF 2010! And I wish the nipples of MMCC to always be hard.

Two Strangers in Vancouver Alone
As I went out walking
One morning near Spring;
To hear the birds whistle,
Pretty nightingales sing:
I espied a fair damsel
A-making her moan,
Saying: "I am a stranger
And far from my home."
I stepped up beside her
And made a longee,
I asked her forgiveness
For being so free;
"I had to take pity
On hearing you moan,
For I, too, am a stranger,
And far from my home."
"One question I ask you,
Young man," she did say;
What is the cause of
Your coming this way?
Where is your country?
And why do you roam?
What makes you a stranger,
And far from your home?"
"To you, my pretty fair maid,
The truth I will tell;
When I am at home
In New Jersey I dwell;
It was my misfortune
In love to be borne;
Which causes many younger men
To wander from home."
"THE BOYS OF NEW JERSEY
ARE ROVING YOUNG BLADES,
They take great delight
In deceiving young maids;
They hug them and kiss them
And call them their own,
When perhaps they have a sweetheart
A-moaning at home."
"As for to delude you,
That I never will;
As for to protect you,
My blood I would spill:
I'd guide and protect you,
While here alone
While we are two strangers
In Vancouver alone."
"I'll build my love a castle
In some lonely town,
Where lord, dukes and nobles
Can ne'er pull them down;
Contented and happy
We'll live in Tyrone.'
Two strangers got acquainted
In Vancouver alone.

She used to be so good, insightful interviews, good questions. When did she start shoving her chest forward, hands on hips and flirting with the camera? Why can't she be good, solid and bright? The boobs add that much?
